COUNTERFEITER AGREES TO PAY SUM OF £700,000
31 August 2008
Following a year-long investigation by investigators from C3i Europe, leading International investigation company, a major American software house has been awarded £700,000 in compensation by a counterfeiter based in the United Kingdom.
Enquiries by C3i Europe staff included the use of their revolutionary software package, eSpectior devleoped by Silensec, to identify the source of the counterfeited software.
Enquiries were made in Germany, Holland and Dubai using physical and technological methods of surveillance and identification. Combined with analytical research C3i Europe and Silensec provided enough evidence for the legal people from their client company to put together a cast iron case. Faced with this extensive amount of evidence the counterfeiter immediately brokered a compensation agreement rather than face court proceedings.
