Why Attend?

With the advent of the high speed and mobile communication technologies the world has been exposed to a rapidly changing variety of dynamic cyber threats. This raises a critical need to protect government and enterprise critical information and infrastructures. Electronic attacks today expose confidential information, cripple official web sites and leave companies and governments vulnerable to serious risks.

One of the greatest threats to information security could actually come from within companies or organization, known also as “Inside attacks”. In most cases, it is not bad-intentioned workers and corporate spies who are posing risks but the non-malicious, uninformed employees who can do harm to your network by visiting websites infected with malware, responding to phishing emails, storing their login information in an unsecured location, or even giving out sensitive information over the phone when exposed to social engineering.

Company-wide security awareness initiatives are therefore of paramount importance for every organization to allow them to understand current cyber threats, hacking attacks as well as to information security strategies, procedures and best practices to minimize and mitigate them. This will help government and institutions to meet the guaranteed confidentiality, integrity of the information residing and flowing to these infrastructures and the availability of the resources when needed.
